A great accepting atmosphere. This bar has the best fries on the Oregon coast in my perception. 5 star review.

We came here years ago and enjoyed it and decided we needed just a dive bar with breakfast today. So we headed to snug harbor. The sweet smiley blonde (Katie) was very polite and sweet, her drinks were yummy and she delivered them quickly. The other gal with the red hair, Peggy, was funny, sassy and friendly too. She made multiple tables belly laugh while we were there. Our food took a little while, but the cook was running his butt off and the wait was worth it. I ordered my bacon extra crispy and it was DELICIOUS. Hashbrowns weren’t just soggy and bland, they were seasoned. My husband got a breakfast burrito and said it was really good. Everything came out HOT HOT HOT. Apparently they also have a bar cat... I didn’t have the honor of meeting Jack Henry, but hopefully I will next time. It’s a dive, it’s no nonsense, and it’s fantastic.

I've been by this place many times but never had time to stop. Finally made time and this place is a must as the food is great at a great price. Large portion and have a little bit of everything. Bartenders are very friendly and a pleasure to talk with! Clam chowder is very good, and I'm a clam chowder snob! We will definitely be back again and again. If in the area, find the time to stop!

First time here walked in, and the place was lively with karaoke. Bartenders were very friendly and attentive. We ordered dinner... I had the chicken salad, and my husband had the club sandwich. Generous size portions for an amazing price. Probably the best chicken strip salad I've had in a while. I look forward to coming back.

We had Cajun Mac N Cheese and the Clam Chowder. Both were outstanding! The bartender, Chris, was amazing! There was a live band that played blues, rock, country and some original music. They were very, very good. Can't wait to get back to the coast to visit this place again.

I was pretty pleased with my time there. It happened to be karaoke night, so I was highly entertained by a group of bachelorette girls singing for a bit, and some really decent local singers. I'm not entirely sure which IPA I sampled a lot of, but it was good and cold, and I had endured a pretty long day of sun on my legs, so the grumpy tired guy actually perked up after a bit and had a really good time. Ha! I had ordered food, but it fell to the wayside after I started to feel no pain. I'm a pretty shy person, but by the end of my time there I was satisfied that I would/will definitely stop there again. I'm bad with names, and I'm losing my hearing, so I can't remember the barman and barmaids' names, but both were pretty good folk to an out of towner! Makes me wish I was a lot younger! But I plan on going back, definitely. The entire area is beautiful, and I'm glad I just took off on a drive, 1900 miles away.

Great flam chowder and friendly service. Very local bar, keryokee on Saturday. Love the wood interior and glass ornaments above bar. Decent amount of beer selection and lots of cocktail options Clean restrooms and great patio. Local cat hangs out and knows all the locals. The best part about this place is the employees, they are great. The atmosphere here is also fantastic and constantly changing. You never know who will show up. Serving breakfast lunch and dinner.

Snug Harbor Bar and Grill located in Taft, Oregon along the Coast Hiway 101, was established in 1927, and is currently the oldest roadside tavern in the State of Oregon coming in at 127 years young. Sadly, for all the time I've spent Traveling up and down the Oregon Coast, over the last couple of years, I wasn't aware of this Gem. The current owner of 22 years, Leslie, was on hand overseeing operations and greeting customers. Snug Harbor is a great little tavern with a nice rustic flare. Years of memorabilia adorn the walls. The bartender on duty, Susie, was very friendly and nice enough to give me a brief history of Snug Harbor. When traveling through this area, I recommend stopping in for a meal and an adult beverage.
